How To Become A Great Golfer

Golf has recently become a much more popular game to the world of sports. In recent years the game of golf has also seen an increase as a career choice, as golf programs and golf schools around the country make it that much easier to enter into the field. Below you will find some tips on how to pursue your professional golf career.

A golf school is a lot like a junior camp in the sense that kids of all ages can attend and learn to improve their golf games. However, one main difference between the two is that golf schools tend to be more intensive and the sessions are quite longer. When junior golfers attend golf school, they need to make sure they are ready to hunker down and really study and work hard because just like regular school, they will only get better and learn if they put in the work. Golf schools will usually accept kids from all ages, and place them in their appropriate skill group, so this is a great time to meet other kids and learn from them as well. Golf schools usually last from a day to a couple of weeks.

Any golfer who is serious about improving and works at doing so should consider an additional investment when they are about to purchase a new set of clubs: a custom club fitting. Every golfer is a bit different in size, body shape and the shape of their golf swing. A custom club-fitting results in clubs that are specifically suited to an individuals height, strength,  and swing characteristics.
Off-the-shelf golf clubs are one-size-fits-all, designed for the "typical" golfer. In this case, typical means someone 5-foot-9 or 5-10 who hits a 5- or 6-iron 160 yards with the typical driver length being to tough to hit resulting in a poorly hit tee ball. A golfer might get lucky with an off-the-shelf set, but many golfers will find themselves ill-suited to such a set.
And the adjustments a golfer makes in his or her game to compensate for an ill-fitting set can make grooving a great swing that much more difficult. This will more than likely cause a fault in his of her swing in the long run.
A club Fitting should be done by a teaching pro or a club fitting specialist. As if someone fits you at an large retail store they are more likely to fit you in to an expensive up-charge option for a sales benefit
